We're open for the season!  Actually, we opened in March but I've been so busy that I haven't had time to post anything.  Shame on me.  We've had visitors from far and wide so far - Eugene, Hermiston, Pendleton, Heppner, Portland, Irrigon and McMinnville, Oregon; Pocatello and Acequia, Idaho; and the Tri-Cities, Seattle and Spokane, Washington.

Sadly, we had to cancel our Spring Golf Tournament this year.  We just didn't have enough volunteers to make it happen.

The Museum is a non-profit organization, dependent on membership dues, donations, fundraisers, grants and volunteers to keep its doors open. The golf tournament brings in a great deal of money, but it is a very labor intensive endeavor and more volunteers are needed to host this very popular fundraiser. If you are interested in history and enjoy people, volunteering at the Museum could be just what you are looking for. Give us a call at 541-922-0209, we need you. Entry to the museum is free. Hours are 10-3 Tuesday thru Saturday.

WE HAVE A NEW MEMBER!  What makes this new member so special?  This member lives in Tigard, Oregon!  The Umatilla Museum welcomes membership from everyone, no matter how far away they live.  The purpose of the Museum is to preserve the history of Umatilla and the surrounding area, and communicate this history to current residents, new residents and tourists.  Your annual dues will help support the Museum that is run entirely by volunteers.  Members receive the museum newsletter and a 10% discount in the Museum Gift Shop.

We are going to be having a BIG yard sale sometime this summer.  Keep your eyes and ears open for the date.  If you have donated anything in the past that you would like to have returned, please contact us ASAP.  We have a basement full of items that need to be cleaned out and if your item is in there, it may be included in the yard sale.

The museum is looking for a new logo.  Do you have any great ideas?  There will be a prize for the winning entry.  Remember, our Museum is all about Umatilla and its history!  Call for more information.
